Joud follows Palestinian-Syrian journalist Joud, now a German citizen, while going through gender confirmation and as he chooses to build a family and confront a past marked by exile and silence. In a fragile “middle east”, his rare story of self-determination weaves identity, memory, and politics into an intimate story of resilience, belonging, and survival.
